Man Utd transfer target Igor Matanovic has stated that neither he nor his representatives have been contacted by another club.
The Red Devils, Tottenham and Fiorentina have all been credited with an interest in the Croatian international.
However, when asked about the transfer speculation, Matanovic made it clear that he is unlikely to leave his current team this summer:
“As far as I’m concerned, I’m currently at Freiburg. There has been absolutely no contact with anyone from my side.”
Why is Matanovic in high demand?
The 23-year-old had a strong 2025/26 campaign, finding the back of the net 15 times in all competitions. His form led to him being called up for the World Cup.
Matanovic came off the bench in three of Croatia’s four games at the tournament – the two group fixtures against England and Ghana, as well as the 2-1 defeat to Portugal in the round of 32.
The forward has started this season in red-hot form, scoring 4 goals in 4 games across all competitions for Freiburg.

Man Utd will only recruit a new No.9 on one condition
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has said that any move for a striker is dependent on Joshua Zirkzee departing Old Trafford. At the time of writing, the Dutchman has not managed to secure himself a transfer away from United.
Zirkzee has rejected the opportunity to join Fiorentina on loan. The Viola were prepared to pay a €5m (£4.3m) loan fee for the player, as well as including a €30m (£26m) option to buy.
However, the 25-year-old is also believed to have interest from another Italian team – Juventus. The Bianconeri are looking for a replacement for Jonathan David, who is set to join Atletico Madrid.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
